Latin dance is a sports dance,which includes five dances of cha-cha-cha,Rumba,Jive,Samba,and Paso Doble.Strength is one of the most fundamental and important qualities in body elements.For Latin dancers,strength is indispensable.Good strength can make the dancers play more comfortable.Children are the main force of Latin dance practicer in China.It is necessary to use correct and effective methods to train in children.This study used literature review method,mathematical statistics method and test method for 60 six-to 12-year-old Latin dance performers(n=60 average age is 9.70 years old)and general group students(n = 30 average age is 9.27 years old)were tested for strength and test data.The analysis reveals the development of the Latin dance's strength qualities for 6-12 year old practicers,and provides a reference for the study of improving the strength of 6-12 year old practicers.The findings are as follows:(1)The strength of the 6-12-year-old Latin dancers is closely related to their physical form.The body height,weight,waist circumference,and thigh circumference are related to the strength of the body.The long-term Latin dance training will not affect the practicer's thigh circumference.(2)The Latin dance training has a significant improvement in waist and abdomen power and back strength of 6-12 year old practicers.In particular,Jive and Samba in Latin dance have a significant influence on the strength of the waist and abdomen.(3)The training of Jive and Samba in Latin dance has certain influence on the explosive power of the lower extremities of 6-12 year-old practicers.Jive and Samba often have springing action and have a certain effect on the improvement of explosive power of lower limbs.The longer the dance training time is,the better the explosive power of the lower limbs of the practicer is,and the explosiveness of the practitioner can also be improved through the training of the acquired coaches within a certain period of time.(4)Through tests on children's special forces,it is found that the longer the training period is,the better the children's special forces are.When developing special forces for children's Latin dance,they can be improved by taking two actions: lifting the legs and alternating feet.The test methods can improve the strength of the leg and ankle joints.These two indicators can be used to improve the athlete's lower limb strength in different projects.
