Regarding to the new curriculum reform,the improvement of the students 'ability of comprehensive language application has become the most important policies,besides the research of English teaching instruction in primary schools has also become the focus of English teaching.Viewing the traditional teaching instruction of primary school in English,focusing on vocabulary? grammatical structure? sentence analysis and other aspects of the "cramming" teaching has lead the result of the students unable to say,restricting the students ' ability to improve the comprehensive use of English.Compared with the old teaching instruction,discourse teaching insists on the holistic view,It's aim to avoid the drawbacks of fragmentation teaching.Discourse teaching can strengthen students ' acquisition,digestion and absorption of text information,It's also can enhance students ' writing level,oral expression ability,reading ability,guessing ability,and improve students ' humanistic quality through the way of holistic perception.Discourse teaching can strengthen the students ' practical ability and cultivate the spirit of innovation which "improve the students ' humanistic quality.Discourse teaching can enhance students ' practical ability and cultivate the spirit of innovation".It's meeting with the general requirements of a new round of basic education curriculum reform in the country.Therefore,discourse teaching has become the focus of English classroom teaching in the senior grade of primary school.The research is divided into three parts,firstly,It uses the literature of relevant literature on primary discourse teaching were collected and summarized,combing the discourse teaching research progress.Writing the research idea of this paper is mainly used to determine the research goal and the significance.Secondly,discourse teaching is been to introduce in theory in this paper in order to further the theoretical basis for empirical research,such as the concepts of discourse teaching,the illustrates the concept,the basic process of discourse teaching,the teaching design,the teaching principles and the selection of evaluation standard.Finally,based to the three stages in primary school English language teaching in the discourse reading(before discourse teaching,the while discourse reading and the after discourse),It's mainly research the tasks of each stage and the matters needing attention.Through the interview to the teacher and some students in the three stages,It displays the main problems and confusion from the two aspects,with the help of the observation form of the discourse teaching,the outstanding problem of each stage would be founded,and then from two aspects of the teaching process,the suggestions will be put forward.
