Xu Guangqi,a forerunner of studying Western science and technology and scientific spirit in the Ming Dynasty,is an important figure in the exchange of Chinese and Western cultures.His proposal of studying the West and surpassing the West was loudly raised.Through his life,he pursued the study of the truth,diligently studied hard,studied a wide range of subjects,and made profound achievements in mathematics,agronomy and astronomical calendar.He was the earliest scholar who introduced modern European natural sciences to our country.He studied hard and translated very rich.The pioneering achievements in propaganda and introduction of science and technology have a profound impact on the development of science,technology and culture in China.Based on the historical background of Sino-Western cultural exchanges and collisions in the late Ming Dynasty and the social environment of "heaven and earth dissolve" at the time,this essay further studies his choice and absorption between Chinese and Western cultures on the basis of probing into Xu Guangqi's thought of " The transplanting of advanced science and technology requires more than winning,that is,"Desire to win,we must pass;before the meeting,we must first translate" the formation of ideas,as well as the content and practice of Huitong thinking characteristics,and then compare Xu Guangqi's ideas with the West Coupling and separation of scientific ideas,and finally positioning and analyzing Xu Guangqi's historical status.Starting from the thought of "meeting between China and the West",this paper studies the scientific thinking comprehensively,master how Xu Guangqi can pass through the Western and Chinese scientific thoughts and then form his own ideological system,deeply explores the formation,content,characteristics and significance of the thought of the meeting between China and the West,Grasp the essence of scientific thinking.This article divides into four major parts to carry on the research to discuss:The first part mainly analyzes the conditions for the formation of Xu Guangqi's plenary session.First of all,he introduction of scientific ideas in the late Ming and early Western Learning had a positive impact on him.Second,we will introduce the social environment in which he lives and the social ambitions of his preparations for saving the country.Finally,we further explain the fusion of the Confucianism and the idea that "all will pass".Xu Guangqi's introduction of Western science is not a simple transplanting.Instead,Xu Guangqi demanded that "the desire to prevail must be communicated;it must be translated before it can be communicated," in order to promote the formation of its thinking of Western and Chinese society.The second part elaborates on the content and concrete practice of Xu Guangqi's meeting-meeting ideology of "summing up the main works of man and nature",and highlights the ideological features of the meeting.Around its translation-will pass-ultra-Sheng's ideological system,introduced from various fields how he specifically fusion of Western science and thought,each of the theories are formed by the hands of practice,in order to achieve the combination of theory and practice.The third part summarizes the characteristics of Xu Guangqi's ideas of meeting between China and the West.From five aspects,it analyzes Xu Guangqi's ideas of meeting both Chinese and western innovations and his unique ideological system,and highlights the distinctive features of Xu Guangqi's thinking on Sino-West relations.In the fourth part,through the inductive analysis of Xu Guangqi's scientific thinking,the author analyzes and positions his real status in detail,and analyzes the characteristics and limitations of Xu Guangqi's thinking on Sino-west society communication.Finally,it discusses the significance of Xu Guangqi's thinking on the development of the Sino-Western cultural thought.
