This paper is written to check if the theory of Drama which uses as a teaching theory in Education could apply in oral English Teaching especially in higher grade effectively.The writer also provides three teaching suggestions for teachers who teaches oral English in primary school to take.Drama in Education means integrating different drama elements to help students master the knowledge and methods in their books,such as imitation,act,body movements,text-written.The language and characters are very important carriers for drama to convey its meaning.Thus,it is a great idea to improve the language skill by drama.This action research designed twelve drama activities according to the three different teaching text materials.The process of this action research can be divided into four stages.At the first experiencing stage,the different drama activities are applied in primary English class.In this stage,the researcher will find different problems in application of Drama in Education.These problems will be solved at the second stage.The second stage pays great attention on them.The third stage concentrates on checking if the Drama in Education could help pupils learn oral English.The last stage is for conclusion and reflection.The whole process must have some advantages and disadvantages,the research should conclude and reflect them for further application.Through this action research finds that the Drama in Education can create a good environment,arise pupils'interests and provide more opportunities to practice.In short,the theory of Drama in Education can improve the English pragmatic competence of pupils in high grate...
