Research On Zhang Sike Poems Of Salt Merchants In Qing Dynasty

With the flourishing of commercial development in Ming and Qing Dynasties,the businessman class is gradually on the rise.The interaction between businessmen and intellectuals,that is "from businessman to intellectual" or "from intellectual to businessman",has become a prominent feature of Ming and Qing Dynasties.As a businessman living in Yangzhou for a long time,Zhang Sike's identity and his excellent poem creation is of great benefit to the study of the interaction between businessmen and intellectuals and the businessman literature.His poetry revealed local characteristics embodied by different regional cultures.Zhang's poetic creation,particularly Xiang Shan Ci,is of great value,which enriches the study of the development of the Zhe School in the mid-Qing Dynasty.The thesis mainly focuses on Zhang Sike's identity as a businessman and puts him within the background of literature ecology of Qing Dynasty to study the uniqueness and typicality of his poetic creation.The thesis is composed of four parts.The first part examines the background of his life,family,relationship and literary creation.The second part discusses the influence of Zhang's identity as a salt businessman and the regional culture on his poetic creation,where lies his uniqueness in the literary circle at that time.Being as a businessman makes it possible for Zhang Sike actively to make friends with many intellectuals and create literary works.The Guanzhong Culture and Yangzhou Culture allow Zhang's poetic creation to combine with different literary styles,for instance the combination of the north "firm" and south "soft",which makes his literary creation quite special.At last,basing on the analysis on his poetry collection and briefly discuss characteristics of literary style and the causes of the creation,the third and fourth part study Zhang's main idea of his creation and artistic features.
