The Song Dynasty is a crucial period in the development history of the preface and postscript,when it has obtained great achievement.Preface and postscript is a type of writing which attached to the "main text" and there does not have a completely independent style.Because of its not independence,with the changes in social patterns,many practical types of writing have disappeared,but the preface and postscript is still full of vitality.It's a unique and important type of writing in the history of literature making the author and the readers understand each other.The preface and postscript as a bridge provide the pre-understanding for readers.Concerned about this literary style's number is very few and it's Importance with the defects in the academic field,this paper focuses on the research of the preface and postscript in the Song Dynasty with the help of aesthetic methods and perspectives.I hope this research can enrich the connotation of Chinese literature and provide a theoretical support for preface and postscript in literature.The introduction makes a summary of the research status and defines the research object of the thesis.It is considered that the preface and postscript is a style which is attached to the "main text" and can be called "subsidiary text".It is written in books,poems,calligraphy,painting,stone rubbings,and other works.It aims to introduce the content related to the "main text".In the Song Dynasty,preface and postscript had some another names,for example,Preface,Xu,Yin,Epilogue,Postscript,Shuhou,Tihou and so on.In this context,the essay Shu Meng Chang Jun Zhuan cited later is a typical preface and postscript.Then on the basis of this,the significance and origin of the topic are discussed.At the same time,the emphasis and innovation of this study are clarified.It has certain significance to discover aesthetic specialty and relative independent character about preface and postscript in the Song Dynasty.The first chapter focuses on trying to sort the history of the preface and postscript,highlighting its dynamic development and its connecting role in the history.First of all,it's necessary to discuss from the budding period to the development and the prosperity period,so that we can fully explore them.Secondly,we will give a descriptive grasp of the topic in the whole and then discuss the number,types,contents,forms,styles of the preface and postscript in the Song Dynasty.The second chapter focuses on the aesthetic production of the preface and postscript of the Song Dynasty.From the authors,we will explore the commonality and individuality between themselves and then reveal the objective conditions and subjective conditions that the authors need when they attempted toappreciate the "main text",and try to use the classical prefaces to analyze that under some specific circumstances it's easier to arise appreciate aesthetically.Starting from the preface and postscript itself,we will explore the aesthetic appreciation of the "main text" and explore its unique features from the following three aspects: "knowing ourselves to appraise people","knowing people to discuss the world",and "knowing the principle to change the world".Then,based on the theory of intersubjectivity,this paper analyzes the authors of the preface and the main text,the authors of who are both the main text,and the author of the preface and the main text.So that we can discuss the generating of the aesthetics of the preface and postscript in the Song Dynasty.The third chapter focuses on intersexuality and relative independence of preface and postscript in the Song Dynasty.The literati were good at controlling the style of writing in the Song Dynasty,and put forward a point of view to break the boundaries between styles.Firstly,excavating intertextuality by comparing with the preface and postscript,historical biography,epigraph,Ji Text and so on.This paper discusses some phenomena about breaking the boundaries between styles and a new change for the preface and postscript in the Song Dynasty.Secondly,it discusses the textual intertextuality of preface and postscript,presenting the aesthetic relationship between preface,postscript,“main text” and some radiated texts.Finally,finding aesthetic implication from a relatively independent part about preface and postscript in the Song Dynasty.Highlighting the stylistic features and the features are combining attachment and independence together.The fourth chapter discusses the beauty of form about the preface and postscript in the Song Dynasty.From the beginning,we can know that there is no change in the nature of preface and postscript from the Song Dynasty to the present.So we can explore the beauty of its form by the theory of “subsidiary text”,the theory of intertextuality and phonology.
