Analysis Of The Use Of Buddhist Music Elements In Electronic Music Works

In Chinese contemporary electronic music,the composers add the Chinese traditional culture and element as the culture symbol to highlight the music of the national characteristics and cultural connotation in their work,and it is also an architecture called "To talk" for Chinese music.The Chinese electronic music's wave is that involves all unique features such as "Chinese traditional culture","Chinese traditional music" that have been existed for a thousand years history to their music's creation procedure.The composers use Chinese traditional folk songs,traditional instrumental music,traditional rap,traditional opera,religious music,literati music as elements and materials in their works.In addition,the electronic music also makes the traditional music variously.The electronic music is using the electronic instruments and electronic music technology to produce the music,but the creative thinking and development methods are still based on the traditional music techniques,therefore there are still many complementary electronic music and traditional music.So how to study the similarities between them,and how to get a better combination between inherited the original musical form and developing through the electronic music technology and creation method.It should be considered as an important part in the creation of music work.This paper used the argumentation,comparison and demonstration and other research methods to analyses four most representative music works,the<Nuo Ri Lang>and "Crossing the Desert To Civilization","Purification" a piece of meditative music song which is repeatedly sung by the "Vajra Mantra" and a popular Electronic music"Everything's Life",and it also research how Buddhist music be treated as an element used in the music creation progress,conclude the unique musical forms,Buddhist musical instruments,Buddhist thoughts,scriptures and singing form.These four-music works' change and innovation based on traditional composition techniques.it will be not only a legacy from tradition but also a development to keep the traditional composition techniques and method,and merge electronic music9 s creative techniques and characteristics.It will be a good chance to treat the Buddhist music as a motivation that involved "Derivative","split" and "reorganization",and process the sampling from Buddhist music through digital processing,also it can combine the repeatedly ode song's characteristic and electronic music specific tone and loop feature,merge the traditional Buddhist music form and Popular electronic music technology harmoniously.This paper concludes the views and options that can be referred to other scenarios that Chinese traditional musical and its cultural elements are used to create an electronic music work.
