As one of the most important poets in the history of Chinese contemporary poetry,Mu Dan reached a climax in the context of the "Salvation Overwhelming Enlightenment" in the 1940s.The depth of thought and aesthetics of poetry in his anti-war poetry broke the development bottleneck of modernist poetry since the 1930s.In an era when art and reality are in great opposition to each other,Mu Dan's poetic and poetic concepts are extremely complex, which expressed the contradictory with”The World" and "Oneself',and the reflection on War in Reality. The article will talk about the "New Lyric"which was put forward by Mu Dan,discussing the dilemmas of poetry development in the 1940s and the differences between poetry at that time, determining the poetic concept of Mu Dan from the relationship of poetry. At the same time, combining the life experience during the war,the article will discuss the turn of the"New Lyric",intending to discuss the new understanding of poetry from the perspective of the mutual verification between literature and history, and it's enlightenment for the development of Modern Chinese PoetryThe article will be divided into three parts:Chapter One analyzes the background and details about the "New Lyric".Mu Dan's idea of the "New Lyric" in the early period of the Anti-Japanese War was a response to the "intellectual poetry”which developed to the "peak" before the war,and also as personal view about the connection of era, personal experience, reality and poetic theory. It contains a kind of flexible relationship between poetry and politics which Mu Dan found in the war environment, and it is also the great idea for the development of Chinese poetry. With the richness of individual experiences and the changes in the form of the war of resistance, the "New Lyric" has evolved from"proposition" to the "breakthrough",and its connotation has continued to deepen, with the various aesthetic perceptions. In fact, during the entire period of the War,"Three thousand miles of walking" and "China Expeditionary Force" have become the turning point in Mu Dan's life and poetry.Chapter Two analyzes the "contradictory" and "difficulties" in Mu Dan's poetry. As the situation of the war and the poet's life become more difficult, the thinking about the opposition between man and the world or history enters Mu Dan's e poetry. At the same time, the linear and non-linear development of history was mixed with war, which also brings new considerations to the war.During the war, there are a lot of Modernist poets faced with "aphasia" or "slogans",but Mu Dan injects thoughts into his works, which brings new dimensions to the development of new poems. At the same time, the "New Lyric" has been transformed into "rich and abundant suffering".Chapter Three analyzes the "verbal strategy" of Mu Dan's poetry. His poetic language not only completes the expression of poetry, but also has the strong personal function. He was deeply influenced by western modernist poetry, which was reflected in the use of irony techniques, the conversion of lyrical perspectives, and the change in poetic form.Mu Dan's "language tactics”updates the aesthetic dimensions of the new poetry. At the same time, his poetic spirit was also conveyed by his unique language.
