Ghost refers to the image that people think based on the concept of the soul.It is an image that is shaped by a certain natural scene or something suspicion.Ghost stories are one of the fantasy stories oral creation and transmitted by the public.These Ghost stories are based on the concept of the soul and made guesses to strange things,create all kinds of ghost images,constructing bizarre plots to reflect the social phenomenon.Mongolian folk ghost stories generally include ghost-themed or ghost-related folk tales.By studying Mongolian folk ghost story,can profound understand the Mongolian folk beliefs,values,spirits,and the civil society in Mongolia.This is the most important value of Mongolian folk ghost stories.This Master's thesis consists of six parts:an introduction,corecontent three chapters,a conclusions,and references.The introduction part confesses the research method,purpose,meaning,and material.It also introduces the collation and research trends of Mongolian folk ghost stories.The core content consists of three chapters.The first chapter classifies Mongolian folk ghost stories and draws out the characteristics of the stories.The first section is divided into five parts:the story of the ghost harming the man,the story of a man descends a ghost,the story of the ghost wife,ghost revenge story and other ghost stories.In the second section,based on the characteristics of ghost stories are divided into strange type,threat type and the type of belief.The second chapter classifies the ghost images of Mongolian folk ghost stories and summarizes their characteristics.The first section interprets the five images of ghost stories such as bog,oroolong,teireng,xvlam,and ad.The second section analyzes the two aspects of the characteristics of the ghost image.Type of the transformation and the type of the horror.The third chapter explores the cultural connotation of Mongolian folk ghost stories.The first section interprets the relationship between Mongolian folk ghost stories and soul beliefs,shaman,and Buddhism.The second section summarizes the functions of the Mongolian folk ghost story from three aspects:explanation and reflection,taboo lesson,and the cognition of beauty.
