This paper focuses on the space of Tai Koo Li Chengdu,as a cultural space for urban consumption.Chengdu Tai Koo Li is actually a new type of commercial space under the guidance of consumer thinking,composed the traditional Chinese history block culture and the Western capitalist business culture.In the background of the development of modern consumer society,the value sign and commodity aesthetics of Cultural Consumption Space are gradually influencing the perception and recognition of consumers.As the main force controlling the urban space,the consumer culture is an important part of it.It achieves the purpose of governing the urban public life,through the control of urban space power operation.And as the field of power of urban space,it also reflects various consumer culture relations.This paper is divided into four chapters.The preface summarizes the background,significance and the concept of the topic,sums the research status at home and abroad,and illustrates the research methods and innovations of this paper.On this basis,the author puts forward the main research object of space aesthetics in Tai Koo Li,Chengdu.The first chapter aims at the decorative aesthetics of the buildings in Tai Koo Li and,explores its traditional cultural connotation and decorative aesthetic features.Based on the overall structure of Tai Koo Li,the architectural style is revealed.At the same time,the architectural conception is analyzed and the special spatial nature of Tai Koo Li is compared with the traditional shopping mall to explore its spatial aesthetics Particularity,by analyzing the collision and blending between the old and the new space.The second chapter mainly discusses the situation of many subjects and blocks related to consumption,analyzes the consumption behaviors and habits of each group in the consumption space in Tai Koo Li,and draws the consumption characteristics of the space in Tai Koo Li and the capital power characteristics behind the consumption culture.In the third chapter,starting from the formation and reconstruction of the space of Tai Koo Li,the author incorporates the relevant theories of cultural consumption and commodity symbols,explores the various factors involved in the formation of Tai Koo Li and analyzes the essential driving force behind the formation of the space,Space criticism provides theoretical support.Based on the above,the fourth chapter explores that the essence of Tai Koo Li is cultural commercial space operated by the main body of capital power.Based on the above,Chapter Four concludes that the essence of Tai Koo Li is cultural commercial space operated by the main body of capital power,which is essentially different from the general consumer commercial space.Only in the new era,with the variation of the operating mode of capital operation giants,the cultural space in Tai Koo Li is a spatial settlement formed by the alienation of consumer culture.Finally,the author further explains that the consumer space in Tai Koo Li seems to be a humane cultural aesthetics space and a model for the construction of modern urban metropolitan culture in the conclusion part.But it is actually a new commercial shopping space created by commercial capital giants using new means to “cheat” consumers in sensibilities and spiritual feelings.All cultural decorations serve for their commercial profits.This is not only a deprivation of the right of urban people to choose the aesthetic space,but also continuously aggravates the burden of urban space and creates an explosion in space.At the same time,some suggestions for building space have also been proposed with the intention of guiding the development of urban space in a healthy and benign direction.
