The Dream of Red Mansion is regarded as one of the pinnacle in Chinese ancient novels and it has set a standard for the later-generation narrative in the aspects of character modeling and the art of narrative skills. The author,Mr.Xueqin Cao,managed his superb skills in character description, presented each role with their own unique and tangible personality in front of readers. Most of these characters are considered possessing the characteristic of “androgyny”.However, majority of the research in this field has mainly focused on the roles that take more paragraphs like Baoyu Jia and Xifeng Wang and little or no other characters have been much involved. And up to now, there is no explicit inclusion of “androgyny” in the overall study of “The Dream of Red Mansion”.The characteristics of “androgyny” in “The Dream of Red Mansion” are also reflected in the narrative strategies, which include the “androgyny”of the narrator himself, the multiplicity of narrative perspectives, the narrative intervention strategy, and the establishment of the narrator's authority.First of all,the “androgyny” of the narrator “stone” is reflected in the environment in which it is created and the identity of Baoyu Jia,and bears the “double” sexual homosexuality's narrative function in the relationship with Daiyu,Baoyu and Baochai respectively.Xueqin Cao selected “stone” as the narrator. The first is because of his “androgyny” nature of the way of thinking, and the second is because of his affirmation and appreciation of the value of women.Secondly, from the perspective of narrative,Xueqin Cao uses a tactic of combining masculine omniscience,sub-knowledge,and feminine literacy, which not only contains a perspective of objective, rational, and restrained masculinity,as well as a perspective of subjective,self-conscious,and sensual femininity. In narrative intervention strategies, the masculine detached intervention strategies and feminine attractive intervention strategies are used. The use of these two gender-specific narrative strategies enables narrators to establish both rational and sensible bisexuality emotional narrative authority. The writing of “androgyny and homology” in “The Dream of Red Mansion” is different from the monolithic and modelized writing of the previous novels and shows duality and complexity. At the same time,it also provides a legal source for the writing of “androgyny and homosexuality” in modern and contemporary literature. It has provided people with a diversity of “androgyny” to see the world and the perspective of the problem.
