On The Directional Spirit Of Comprehensive Materials In Anselm Kiefer's Art Works

Anselm Kiefer(Anselm Kiefer,1945-),a famous German painter and modeling artist,is the most important representative of "New Expressionism" in 1980 s.He is an internationally famous artist who combines painting,sculpture,printmaking,photography and installation art.He once studied under Joseph Bois and was deeply influenced by his artistic thoughts.His works often in the nature of the Bible,Nordic mythology,alchemy,history and beliefs as the theme,and the use of a large number of various organic materials in the giant works,such as paint,dust,wood,lead,rope,models,photographs,sand,salt,rice straw,wheat straw and so on,these materials can be reduced to four large material: metal material,wood material,stone material,fiber material;Keifer metal materials are commonly used in "lead";wood materials are commonly used in "straw" and "straw";stone materials are commonly used in concrete;fiber material commonly used are "skirt" and "hair".This paper mainly studies the spiritual direction of materials in their works,mainly based on four materials,and finally discusses the influence of Keifer’s comprehensive materials on my own artistic creation and the influence of Chinese oil painting creation.The reason for Keifer’s success is that his works have broken the traditional way of painting and combined with the comprehensive materials,making his works of art appear diversified artistic characteristics.
