A Study Of The Narrative Aesthetics Of First-person Documentaries

Since the middle of the 20 th century,the development of the first-person documentary has gone through two stages from the beginning of the experiment to the germination.Today,the continuous improvement of science and technology and the growing material living conditions have prompted the development of the first-person documentary to usher in an unprecedented "golden period." In this long process of development,the focus of video creators has shifted from oneself to the society,and the first-person documentary has been used to treat the inner real value.The research object of this paper is the first person documentary.From the perspective of narrative aesthetics,through a lot of literature review and case analysis,some in-depth analysis of some classic cases of the first person documentary,trying to study the aesthetic connotation of the first person documentary narrative,and re-examine The self-meaning and social value of first-person documentary creation.This article is divided into the following five parts:The first part re-examines the first person documentary from the aspects of "connotation and characteristics" by backtracking the development process of the first person documentary.At the same time,it also compares the similarities and differences between the East and the West in the development of the first person documentary.The second part of "Story and Discourse" mainly analyzes the narrative context of the first person documentary,and discusses the state experience of story recording and the multi-construction process of narrative discourse.The third part of "Structure and Perspective" mainly focuses on the internal structure of the first person documentary narrative,the external structure,and the intertwined use of internal and external structures and the different perspectives such as the transition between the self and the other,the consciousness and the behavioral narrative.The fourth part of "Emotion and Psychology" mainly analyzes the personal feelings of the first person documentary creation,and the psychological self-healing and image redemption function of the first person documentary to the creator.The fifth part,"Role and Life",focuses on the first-person documentary on the expression of life and meaning of individuals and groups,and its analysis and reflection on the actual value and aesthetic meaning of society and the public.
