Human Geography Academic Paper Listening Geographies: Landscape, Affect And Geotechnologies English-Chinese Translation Practice Report

This is an English-Chinese translation report.The source text,named Listening geographies: Landscape,affect and geotechnologies,was released by Michael Gallagher,Anja Kanngieser,Jonathan Prior on Progress in Human Geography in the end of 2016.It was an academic paper about Humanistic Geography.Firstly,this paper briefly introduces the basic information of the translation task,preparation before translation,and then illustrates the translation of lexical and syntactic level by detailed case analysis.The translation methods used at the lexical level include transliteration,annotation,diction and extension of word meaning.As to the translation of participle as adverbial and attributive,this paper mainly presents the methods of translation it into adverbial clause,verb parallel clause,extrapositive sentence,pre-attribute and so on.Through this translation report,the author hopes to enrich the translation and research of the same type text.
