Theoretical Research On Literary Psychogeography

The thesis systematically introduces the theoretical system of "literary psychogeography" from the following perspectives:concept analysis,research foundation,critical viewpoints and interpretation skills.The city writing texts from China and Western countries are the critical subject of this theory.This research intends to using this theory into literary critical practice.With the purpose of finding out the possibility and necessity of using this theory into the criticism of Chinese urban writing,the value and significance of the theory will be discussed in the thesis,This article includes an introduction,a body(four chapters)and a conclusion part.The introduction consists of three parts.The first part is to sort out the research history of the "literary psychogeography" theory.The second part is an explanation of the overall logical framework and the research method of this paper.The third part points out the necessity,feasibility and significance of this research.The first chapter "What is the Literary Psychogeography",mainly introduces the “literary psychogeography”theory from three aspects: concept analysis,theoretical basis and literary text foundation.In the part of concept analysis,it clarifies the development,term and characteristics of the "literary psychogeography" theory.The "alienation theory" of Marxism is the basis for the construction of the theoretical value system of "literary psychogeography ".The idea of??constructing "unitary urbanism" and urban “dérive" proposed by Situational International is a direct theory source to "literary psychogeography".The literary textual basis mainly refers to the texts with the characteristics of “literary psychogeography”.Through the analysis of the above three aspects,it can be seen that it is reasonable to apply the theory of " literary psychogeography " to the interpretation of literary texts.The second chapter,"The Critical Perspective of Literary Psychogeography Theory",mainly includes three aspects.Firstly,the "literary psychogeography" theorists regard the "urban environment" as the research object,focusing on discovering the connection between people and the environment in urban space.This theory seeks to reveal the spiritual alienation of people in the spectacle society.Secondly," literary psychogeography" takes "place" as its important theoretical discourse,transforming the city's space into "place" and establishing the emotional connection between people and urban space.Thirdly,the "literary psychogeography" theorists regard the literary text as the product of the author's description of the real urban space.The third chapter,"Characteristics of Textual Interpretation of Literary Psychogeography Criticism" intends to point out the way that the characteristics of "literary pyshcogeography" using in specific text criticism,including: paying attention to the "city fl(?)neur",mining the "pyshcogeography experience" in the text and the multi-angle urban dark image.In the practice of criticism,the theory of "literary pyshcogeography" uses "fl(?)neur" as a writing strategy and becomes a clue to the fragmented experience of the unified text city;mining a large number of "pyshcogeography experience" in the text is necessary to restore the multi-perception of dwellers or tourists;the urban image regarded as the basic unit of drawing the “mental map” of the urban people,and the images in the “literary pyshcogeography” mostly have the “Gothic” writing tradition,which tears the spectacle of the urban landscape.The fourth chapter mainly analyzes the value of "literary psychogeography" theory in literary criticism.Firstly,"literary pyshcogeography" has a clear political tendency.Through this criticism,the process of urban space "disenchantment" to "reenchantment" is realized,and the realization of "situation" in the text is realized.Secondly,with the current trend of Chinese urban literature creation,it tends to express a lot of anxiety and strong local emotions to the city,"literary pyshcogeography" emphasizes that people directly establish emotional connection with the city.The term "psycgogeography Experience" mentioned in this part is aimed to establish a rich emotional connection between human and city.Finally,"literary pyshcogeography" has multiple characteristics of critical perspective,providing a new perspective for interpreting urban texts.The theory of "literary psychogeography" enriches the theoretical vision of text interpretation by absorbing the knowledge of multiple disciplines;enriching the connotation of the text and enlarging the theory by selecting some countryside written texts from the "pyshcogeography" perspective.The conclusion part analyzes the reality and literary basis of China's application of "literary pyshcogeography",which that this criticism method will be further developed in the field of Chinese urban criticism.
