The teaching of Chinese as a foreign language has always been controversial about whether or not to select literary works in textbooks.In recent years,the number of literary works in textbooks has dropped significantly,especially the famous masterpieces used in early textbooks have gradually disappeared from the textbooks."Developing Chinese" is a relatively younger textbook for teaching Chinese as a foreign language.It is widely used and has played an important role in many years of teaching practice.It has also been widely praised by users.This paper takes the intermediate and advanced "Development of Chinese"(Second Edition)as the research object,and uses the literature research method and statistical analysis method to summarize the quantity,distribution and characteristics of the literary works selected in the series of textbooks.Through the questionnaire survey method and interview method,the users of the series of "Developing Chinese" textbooks will investigate the study of the selection of literary works and the use of textbooks.Based on the survey results,the paper summarizes the selection of literary works in the middle and senior "Development of Chinese".Strengths and weaknesses.Finally,based on the above findings,some suggestions for the selection and teaching of literary works in the future are proposed.This article is divided into the following five parts:In the introduction,the reasons for choosing the topic,the meaning of the topic,the research content and methods,and the research summary are introduced.The first chapter analyzes and analyzes the selection of literary works in the middle and senior "developing Chinese",and summarizes the characteristics of the selection of literary works in "Developing Chinese".The second chapter investigates the users of the intermediate and advanced "developing Chinese" textbooks.Conduct a questionnaire survey of international students to understand their preferences and needs for literary works.Interviews with Chinese-speaking teachers to understand the role and difficulties of literary works in teaching.In the third chapter,according to the conclusions of the learner's questionnaire survey and teacher interviews,this paper summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the selection of literary works in the textbook according to the current situation and characteristics of the selection of literary works in "Developing Chinese".The fourth chapter puts forward some suggestions on the preparation of textbooks and teacher teaching in the context of the selection of literary works in the textbooks for Chinese as a foreign language.The last part is the conclusion,summarizing some of the conclusions of this paper,andsuggesting the inadequacies of the research.
