A Report On The Chinese-English Translation Practice Of The Ethics Book "Chinese Traditional Moral Highlights" (Friendship, The Way Of Friends, And The Way Of Teachers And Students)

Chinese traditional ethics and morality is the crystallization of the excellent Chinese traditional culture,it not only embodies Chinese civilization,but also a part of the world civilization.Therefore,Chinese traditional ethics and morality is a wealth shared together by people all over the world.However,due to the language barriers and ideological differences,the west has a few misunderstandings of our traditional ethics and morality.At present,the translation of such works into English has become an urgent need.This paper takes the translation practice of "Essentials of Chinese Traditional Morality"(excerpts)as an example,uses the translation methods of hermeneutic theory.On the basis of analyzing and understanding the textual characteristics of ethical works,this paper selects representative cases to analyze and summarizes some translation strategies,aiming at making an active influence and providing a new perspective for the translation of related works.
