| "Jin school" novels specifically refer to the popular novels in tianjin during the Republic of China period,which occupies an important position in the history of Chinese popular literature with its strong regional characteristics and is the symbol of tianjin’s urban culture and urban character.Its emergence and development were closely related to the social changes in tianjin at that time.The urban landscape bridged with concessions in nine countries accelerated the urban modernization development and promoted the communication between Chinese and western cultures.Traditional culture and modern culture were better integrated through the buffer zone of concession.On the basis of inheriting the Chinese traditional novels,the writers consciously absorbed the western modern novels,making the "Jin school" novels bear the traces of the influence of Chinese and western cultures,and show the characteristics of blending the old with the new in many aspects.This paper takes the novels of "Jin school" from 1926 to 1949 as the research object,analyzes the influence of urban development on the writers’ creation,and interprets the literary characteristics of "Jin school" novels,which are embodied in the writers’ creative attitude,creative content and writing skills.This paper attempts to explore the unique value of "Jin school" novels in the development of modern popular literature through the in-depth study of the above issues.The thesis is divided into three parts: introduction,text and conclusion.The body consists of four chapters.The first chapter traces the literary space of the rise of "Jin school" novels,mainly discusses a series of changes that took place with the arrival of the concession cities,and analyzes the influence of these changes on literary creation.The social space of the common development of Chinese and western culture influences the appearance of the literary space,and the developed media industry provides a stable publishing position and a broad platform for the "Jin school" novels,and expands the popularity and influence of the "Jin school" novels.The second chapter clarifies the writer’s attitude to creation,that is,to persuade readers in entertainment.Writers attach great importance to the entertainment and interest of their works,create literary works of commercial value,and admonish readers through criticism of current affairs,in order to influence readers subtly in the process of entertainment.The third chapter analyzes the combination of the old and the new in the content of "Jin school" novels.Writers wrote the traditional chivalrous spirit,and combined with the spirit of The Times to enrich its connotation;They also tried to use the thought of loyalty,filial piety and benevolence to save the social situation.Through two different ways,the spirit of individual freedom is promoted.The works also reveal a distinct sense of civilian and strong sense of home.The fourth chapter probes into the inheritance and reference of "Jinschool" novels to Chinese traditional novels and western modern novels in terms of writing techniques,and makes a detailed analysis from four aspects,namely narrative perspective,character expression techniques,environmental description and humorous artistic techniques.In the conclusion part,the author briefly analyzes the influence of Chinese and western culture on "Jin school" novels,and summarizes the unique cultural value and literary value of "Jin school" novels.Through in-depth research,this paper argues that the collision and fusion of Chinese and western cultures have greatly influenced the tendency of "Jin school" in the creation of novels.The writers brought their own contradictions and entanglement in real life into their works,which made the "Jin school" novels show a mixture of the old and the new on the whole,and made great contributions to recording the regional culture and promoting the development of Chinese popular novels. |
