Research On The Answering Model Of The Spokesperson Of The Ministry Of Foreign Affairs From The Perspective Of The Principle Of Purpose

With the advancement of linguistic research,the foreign ministry spokesman's language has gradually become the focus of linguistics.Taking all of the 235 foreign ministry regular press conference transcripts in 2017 as the corpus,the responses which are related to the goal relation between the foreign ministry and the journalist have been divided into three categories: purpose adoption,purpose shelving and purpose rejection based on the principle of goal direction.Under the different circumstances of goal relations,the foreign ministry spokesperson's answers are classified into transactional questions,opinion-attitude questions and confirmatory questions in accordance with the different types of journalists' questions.It is found that there are four main modes of response of foreign ministry spokesmen on the basis of different purposes and different types of questions,which are the purpose in preposition,the purpose in postposition,the purpose in middle position and the purpose concealment.What's more,the goal relationship between the foreign ministry spokesman and the journalist is the main reason which affects the stylized pattern of the spokesman's reply.This thesis not only provides a new theoretical perspective for the analysis of such texts,but also provides a reference for readers to better understand diplomatic language.
