The aspect marker “zhe”(?)includes two types, one is a durative marker which can be further divided into two subcategories: the duration of the action and the duration of the state. And the other is a perfective marker. The earliest appearance of the two types of aspect markers was in the Tang Dynasty. Both types of aspect markers are derived from the “attachment” verb “zhe”(?)of the pre-Qin period.Later,it developed into a durative marker and a perfective marker along two different grammaticalization paths. In the Tang Dynasty, the number of perfective marker appeared higher than the durative marker.During the Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties, there were not many occurrences of the two types of aspect markers, and the ratios of the two were not much different. From the Northern Song Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, the proportion of durative marker showed an upward trend, and the proportion of perfective marker showed a downward trend, and the gaps in frequency and proportion were very obvious. The use of “zhe”(?)as a durative marker has been used, and the use of “zhe”(?)as a perfective marker is mainly reserved in some dialects in the south. There are two forms of negation for durative marker: First, not V zhe(?);Second, did not V zhe(?);Furthermore, there are four kinds of negation for the perfective marker: First, not V zhe(?);Second, can not V zhe(?);Third, did not V zhe(?);Fourth,do not V zhe(?).The evolution of the aspect marker “zhe”(?)is actually the process of grammaticalization, which follows the principle of grammaticalization. At the same time, analogy and reanalysis are important mechanisms of the creation of the aspect marker “zhe”(?).
