Xu Wei's Freehand Ink Painting Style Of Flowers And Birds

Flower-and-bird painting has become an independent painting branch since the tang dynasty.In the continuous practice of later generations,it has gradually formed two art forms of meticulous brushwork and freehand brushwork.Until the Ming dynasty,freehand flower-and-bird painting developed rapidly,and xu wei’s freehand ink flower-and-bird painting style appeared.This kind of painting is a kind of painting form that describes the object in a concise and general way.It is not limited to likeness in shape,but pays more attention to the expression of taste and aesthetic taste.On the basis of previous studies,this paper attempts to make an overall examination of the various factors that formed the style of xu wei’s freehand brushwork ink painting and flower-and-bird painting from the perspective of art.Through the comprehensive analysis and research of xu wei’s era,regional cultural background,painting style characteristics and his own cultural temperament,the study of xu wei’s flower-and-bird painting style is made as a whole.This paper will discuss the formation of xu wei’s painting style from the following three aspects:First of all,for the formation of xu wei’s painting style,we should pay attention to the rise of "yangming xinxue" in the middle and late Ming dynasty,and its influence on the academic and artistic atmosphere at that time;In addition,xu wei grew up in a place where humanistic and artistic thoughts gather together.The superior geographical environment and unique artistic atmosphere also have a significant influence on the formation of xu wei’s artistic thoughts and concepts.Secondly,xu wei’s personality temperament and personality charm are the internal factors of the formation of his painting style.Finally,from the perspective of technology,the diversified freehand flower-and-bird painting styles in the Ming dynasty,such as zhejiang school,wu men school and Chen he had a direct impact on the formation of xu wei’s painting style.It is because of these important reasons that xu wei’s flower-and-bird painting can present a new look and occupies an important position in the history of Chinese flower-and-bird painting.
