Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Language(MTCSOL)is a high-level,applied and complex person with the ability to teach Chinese as a second language and have good cross-cultural communication skills,adapt to the international promotion of Chinese,and be competent for a variety of teaching tasks.Professional practical ability is the core requirement and goal orientation of its talent training.However,what is the quality of the training of MTCSOL at present?What is the professional practical ability of the MTCSOL?What are the shortcomings?What is the current training mechanism?This series ofproblems need to be further studied.In order to better:·demonstrate the practical ability of the MTCSOL in China and strengthen the attention of various colleges and universities to the cultivation of the practical ability of the MTCSOL,In collaboration with the headquarters of Confucius Institute/China Office of Hanban and Beijing language University,China Education Television held the"Heroes of MTCSOL",a competition aimed at the professional practical ability of MTCSOL in 2016,in collaboration with the headquarters of Confucius Institute/China Office of China in collaboration with the National Master of International Education in Chinese Education.This study is based on a total of 14 hours of competition video in the TV program stage of the two competitions.By using the methods of video analysis and questionnaire survey,this study analyzes the contents of the"Heroes of MTCSOL"and the performance of the contestants.This paper probes into the situation of the professional practical ability of the contestants,deeply analyzes the reasons,and then puts forward some suggestions and suggestions on the cultivation and examination of the professional practical ability of MTCSOL.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:Some basic knowledge of Chinese teaching is not handled meticulously in the cultivation of practical ability of MTCSOL specialty,which leads to the lack of mastery of the relevant knowledge of foreign research students as a second language student.Some students only rely on the intuition and language sense of native speakers,and lack a systematic and accurate understanding of some grammatical phenomena.In the cultivation of Chinese teaching methods,although Chinese students have a rational understanding of various teaching methods,but due to the lack of formal classroom teaching practice,so facing the specific classroom conditions,they still lack the ability to cope with them.It shows that there are many problems in designing and organizing teaching activities according to the characteristics of learners,especially in dealing with sudden classroom problems.In the aspect of teaching organization and classroom management,the teaching links of MTCSOL are basically complete and smooth,but there is a pattern tendency,in the choice of teaching methods,the use of teaching aids.The choice of training methods and the correction of students' pronunciation and intonation still need to be improved.In terms of Chinese culture and cross-cultural communication,the differences in Chinese language level,cultural background and training objectives between Chinese and foreign students have not been fully recognized in the training of talents.And the demand difference between Chinese and foreign research in Chinese culture and cross-cultural communication curriculum has not been paid attention to,and there is a lack of training for Chinese and foreign research students.Based on this,this study puts forward some suggestions on the cultivation and assessment of the practical ability of Chinese majors:strengthening the cultivation of the basic competence in Chinese teaching,paying attention to the heterogeneity of the training objects in the process of training Chinese culture and cross-cultural communication,and putting forward some suggestions on the cultivation and assessment of the practical ability of Chinese majors.More for the master of international education in Chinese to provide rich opportunities to practice both inside and outside the school,to help them accumulate practical knowledge;At the same time,according to the characteristics of different dimensions of professional practice ability,we should choose the appropriate assessment method according to the characteristics of different dimensions of professional practice ability.This study is helpful to probe into the current situation of cultivation of practical ability of MTCSOL,and to provide some suggestions for the cultivation of practical ability of MTCSOL.It is of reference significance for the master of Chinese international education to improve his professional practice ability.
