Chinese calligraphy and erhu performing arts are rooted in the soil of Chinese traditional culture.Although they belong to different art categories, the relationship between them deserves consideration and research. From the consistency of the cultural and historical environment in which calligraphy and erhu performing arts are located, they have the same origin, development and form of expression, which provides a great possibility for the similarities between the two in the creative process.Erhu Opera "Autumn Moon of the Han Palace" is an ancient song popular among Chinese folk. The techniques such as "full bow","rubbing string" and "sliding sound" which it needs to use in performance are in great degree in common with the techniques of "mid-peak","trembling pen" and "turning pen" in calligraphy creation. Therefore,Erhu performers can learn from the techniques of calligraphy creation to better handle these special techniques in the performance process.? Techniques are only the most basic requirement.Erhu performers also need to deal with the deeper use of breath reflected in the music."Breath" is an important concept of aesthetic thought in calligraphy art.If we combine the use of breath in the process of playing Erhu Opera "Autumn Moon of the Han Palace",we can better understand the importance of breath and make proper use of it.There are many similarities between the copying and writing mentality in the process of calligraphy learning and the learning methods and performing mentality of Erhu performance. As can be seen from the above points,it is necessary for calligraphy and Erhu art to learn from each other.Calligraphy plays a central role in Chinese traditional art and culture.Erhu learners can get many enlightenments from the skill of calligraphy creation in the improvement of playing skills and spiritual connotation. The purpose of this theoretical and practical analysis is to help Erhu learners better learn and play Erhu Opera "Autumn Moon of the Han Palace" and more classical traditional Erhu works, and also to appeal to the art community to pay attention to the study of the interoperability of different traditional Chinese art categories,so as to better disseminate our traditional art and culture to the world.
