With the gradual promotion of natural language processing technology in the field of education and teaching,the application of automated essay scoring system in English writing feedback is more and more extensive.The automated essay scoring system can provide students with timely and detailed correction feedback,which makes up for the disadvantages of the traditional English writing correction mode.Using the automated essay scoring system to evaluate and give feedback to students' writing has become the development direction of English writing feedback teaching.However,it still needs constant empirical exploration in the real classroom teaching on its actual application effect and whether it can be effectively used as an evaluation tool in the English writing teaching of junior middle schools in C hinaThis study attempts to answer the following questions to explore the application effect of the automated essay scoring system in junior high school English writing teaching1.As an online automated essay scoring system,can pigaiorg help students improve their English writing skills?2.What kind of feedback can the pigai.org provide?3.What do students and teachers think of the use of pigai.org in English writing teaching?4.What are the limitations of the feedback of pigai.org?Through comparative analysis,action research,questionnaire survey and interview,this study conducted a one-semester action research on all students of class 11,grade 7 of S Middle School.Choosing three times of writing texts as sample,the author analyzes the existed problems in the writing samples.And also,the author chooses the mid-term English exam composition scores and the final exam composition scores as pre-test and post-test data According to the change of the writing section measurement results,the author combined with the students' questionnaire and teacher interview and finally finds the conclusion.Based on the data,the following conclusions can be drawn:to some extent,the pigai.org can help students to improve their English writing and it can effectively improve students in the process of writing self-efficacy and stimulate students' writing enthusiasm.It has great influence on middle school English learners in vocabulary,collocation,grammar and detail errors.And also,it can effectively help students reduce all kinds of language errors in writing.But at the same time,the pigaiorg still have the insufficiency in the thesis evaluation.The teacher should carry on the summary promptly in the classroom teaching,providing the personalized feedback for the students.
