The Use Of Light And Shadow Of Classical Oil Painting Figures In My Creation

The method of light and shadow,a painting technique of classical oil paintings,plays an indispensable role in the works of classical oil paintings.In classical oil paintings,light and shadow unifies the image spacing,composition,color and other painting languages and enhances the image appeal of classical oil paintings,and it is regarded as a classic in the works of painting arts.My graduation project absorbs the techniques of light and shadow in classic oil paintings,so this paper maiuly expounds the application of the techniques of light and shadow in my works.Taking the kitchen series as an example,the role of the techniques of light and shadow in creation will be illustrated.In this paper,the time line of light and shadow is understood through the collection of monographs,papers and periodicals at home and abroad,the analysis of albums and masterpieces,and then the conditions and value of the application of light and shadow in classical oil paintings are known.Combing the materials for creation,the findings in research are applied to practice,and the application of the techniques of light and shadow in classic oil paintings in the image is recorded in different stages through the creation process,and ultimately a painting with certain artistic appeal is created.In the course of creation,the problems and corresponding solutions are also recorded so as to provide examples for future creation,and the author's views on the development trend of classical oil paintings in China are put forward.The role of light and shadow in classic oil paintings in the image is demonstrated based on the author's works,which can better show the yearning for relatives and praise for a simple life.Based on the evolution and function of light and shadowin classic oil paintings,it is expounded in this paper from three aspects of the application of light and shadow in the author's works and the summary in creation and reflections.Starting with the definition of light and shadowin classic oil paintings,the first part introduces the origin of light and shadowin classic oil paintings.Secondly,it summarizes the evolution direction of the light and shadow method of classical oil painting by means of time division.Due to the differences between China and the West,the evolution of the West is analyzed from the perspective of the works of representative painters in different periods,while that in China is analyzed from the perspective of the works of three representative painters who use the light and shadow of classical oil paintings.The role of light and shadow in classical oil paintings can be understood through the analysis of the works of famous Chinese and Westem artists and the theory of artists.The second part studies the specific application of the light and shadow method of classical oil paintings in the author's woik"Love in hometown of kitchen series".The light and shadow method of classical oil painting and the use of space,composition,shape,tone and emotion in creation are interpreted,which is actually to interpret the creation process.Moreover,this part demonstrates the application of the light and shadow method of classical oil paintings in the image in the course of creation and demonstrates that the use of the light and shadow method of classical oil paintings not only makes ihc image more hannonious,but also conforms to the theme of expressing yearning and eulogizing for hometown and relatives,and appropriately expresses the praise for a simple life.The third part is about the difficulties in the process of creation and the reflections on creation.There are some problems in the process of creation,such as the uncertainty of light source direction,die conflict between partial and overall light and shadow,the inconsistency between light and sketch and color,and the use of light and shadow to highlight the character of the figures.But after repeated attempts and amendments,the image is improved and tibe part with problems becomes a highlight in the image.The light and shadow method of classical oil paintings is combined with the theme of the work,which changes the traditional application mode of light and shadow,enhances the quality of creation and proposes some ideas for the subsequent works.
