Yangzhou began its excavation in the Ming Dynasty in 1956,and the tombs of the Ming and Qing Dynasties were discovered in the next two decades. For the gold and silver vessels unearthed in these tombs, the professionals involved in archaeological excavations were occasionally recorded. However, due to the conditions at the beginning of the founding of the country, most of the tombs did not form a complete archaeological excavation report. At present, the study of gold and silver vessels unearthed in the tombs of the Ming and Qing Dynasties in Yangzhou has been comprehensively discussed, supplemented by basic information such as length and weight, but not at a deeper level of analysisOn the basis of clarifying the existing reserch background, the first part of the thesis will be based on the archaeological excavation report and actual investigation in Yangzhou, and the order of the birth and death of the tomb will be used as the key to sort out the gold and silver vessels unearthed from the Ming and Qing Dynasties in Yangzhou.Identify the location of the gold and silverware and other basic information. The study found that the gold and silverware in the Ming Dynasty generally showed a simple and heavy wind, and there was a non-correspondence between the number and the identity of the tomb, which was related to the prevalence of the society in the late Ming Dynasty. The gold and silver wares of the Qing Dynasty presented a fine and flamboyant style, but to some extent ignored the proper expression of "text" and "quality" in the decorative arts. The second chapter of the thesis focuses on the shape of gold and silverware. As a decorative tool,it still conforms to the basic laws of creation, embodies the unity of form beauty and cultural connotation, and conforms to the symmetry and balance of creation law while establishing a sense of order..In the third chapter, the cultural connotation of gold and silverware is emphasized.Because the gold and silverware in the text was unearthed in various tombs,it symbolizes the concept of life and death based on the immortality of the soul or the afterlife. It hopes that the ancestors will always be rich and rich, and hope that the tomb master can protect the "remuneration and communication" of future generations. And as a manifestation of the status of the tomb owner. The cultural background of China's homogeneity is the necessary condition for the material form and cultural connotation of these gold and silver objects, and the silent communication between the creator and the recipient. This is an important role of social representation. The essence of art is a symbolic behavior.The"first-level symbol" in the gold and silver styling will limit the creator's choice range, and the"second-level symbol" will give corresponding freedom on this basis,so that the gold and silver ware is presented as a whole. That is,a unified and diverse face. Finally,in the fourth chapter,we focus on the significance of the gold and silver wares of the Ming and Qing Dynasties for contemporary academic research and gold and silver styling. The gold and silver vessels unearthed from the tombs of the Ming and Qing Dynasties in Yangzhou appeared as archaeological objects in the historical research of the current Yangzhou gold and silver crafts. There is no sign on the gold and silverware to indicate that it is produced in Yangzhou or by Yangzhou artisans, and it is difficult to prove its origin.Through the comparison between the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China and the Jiangdu gold and silver work and the Ming and Qing dynasties,it is found that there are many similarities between the two periods, and there are new changes in the times.
