The Indian linguist N.S.Prabhu designed the communicative teaching experiment in 1979 and did the Bangalore experimental report in 1982 to propose the concept of task-based language teaching. This teaching model attaches great importance to "student-centered" and "learning language in completing tasks".After the development of D.Nunan,J.Wills,P.Skehan and other linguists, the task-based teaching method has received attention in the language teaching community and has been effectively applied, and achieved good teaching results. In the 1990s,task-based language teaching was introduced to China, from the field of English teaching to the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. It is very different from the traditional PPP teaching mode(Presentation,Practice,Production).Task-based teaching requires teachers to design a language task according to the requirements of the course and the content of the text combined with the current language level of the students.Students use the target language to complete the task. The task combined with daily use helps students to recall what they have learned and stimulate students'interest in learning new language points.Besides, students can achieve fluent expression ultimately.Oral language teaching is different from other aspects of teaching. Its purpose is to train students to use the target language to express and communicate in a daily life. The purpose of task-based teaching is exactly in line with this goal, and the process of completing tasks can also create an active classroom atmosphere. This paper mainly discusses the teaching design of intermediate oral Chinese teaching under the task-based teaching mode,in order to provide reference for oral Chinese teaching. This paper is divided into five parts. The first chapter is the introduction part.It mainly introduces the background of the topic, the significance of the research and the related literature review at home and abroad, including the research on the teaching mode, the research results of task-based teaching mode and the results of oral Chinese teaching. The second chapter expounds the related content of task-based teaching mode and intermediate oral Chinese classroom teaching, including the theoretical basis of task-based teaching, the definition and classification of tasks, and the introduction of intermediate-level oral Chinese classroom, summarizing the adaptability between the task-based language teaching and the intermediate oral class. The third chapter is the case study of the "Chinese Classroom Teaching Demonstration",which concludes that the task-based teaching can be practical in the intermediate oral Chinese class. The fourth chapter is the introduction of the principles and texts of the course design, including the teaching objectives, teaching difficulties and teaching arrangements. The fifth chapter is the course design of "I introduce you to a good place".It is designed based on the three stages of task-based teaching proposed by Rod,Ellis including pre-mission preparation stage and implementation in the task.Stage and post-mission feedback stage, etc. Finally,it shows the summary and reflection of the design of this course, and puts forward relevant suggestions for the improvement of task-based teaching mode and intermediate-level oral Chinese teaching.I hope that the task-based oral teaching design discussed in this paper can provide assistance for intermediate oral Chinese teaching.
