"Music Studies" And The Cultural History Of Contemporary Chinese Music

Music Research was launched at the early founding of People's Republic of China.This publication was born from the leadership of the Communist Party of China with a political gene,which makes it an academic journal in music thoroughly implementing the literature and art policy.And the purpose of running the publication has never changed afterwards,from which the sense of worth and the social responsibility embodies.To be specific,it has showed high principles,that always embodying literature and art policies of the CPC and adhering to the Party's sense of literature and art,that always reflecting the relationship between music and the society,that always being consistent with the Party then coming down to core issues.As an academic journal of music theory,during sixty years,Music Research has made outstanding contributions in leading the study of music theory in China and training talents of it.Furthermore,under the leadership of several chief editors and editorial colleagues,the principle of academic supremacy has proposed and insisted for decades along with the efforts in establishing the music theory in China and training talents of it,which has witnessed the development of China contemporary music culture and made Music Research a precious place relatively for musicians of the time.In a word,Music Research is precise,scientific and steady,which has been leading the study of music theory in China into a new wide place.Thereby,it has gained broad trust of the scholars and formed a constant characteristic,thus has established a leading position in the music industry,and nowadays has given significant meanings to music communications and political orientations.
