Based on the practical problem of master's career decision-making difficulties, this study adopts qualitative and quantitative mixed research design. The research explores the influencing factors and mechanism of master's career decision-making difficulties through in-depth interviews and grounded theory. On the basis of Study 1,Study 2 further studied the impact of two important influencing factors(psychological capital and career maturity)extracted from the study on the career decision-making difficulties of graduate students.Study 1 used in-depth interviews to collect data, selected 5 respondents who participated in the study through intensity sampling, and collected interview data under the condition of informed consent of the respondents. The grounded theory method was used to analyze the data,180 initial codes were extracted, and 21 axis codes and 5 core codes were further extracted.Through the analysis of the generic analysis and the method of scenario analysis, the grounded theory is constructed from the bottom up,and the influencing factors of the master's career decision-making difficulties are summarized as follows:psychological capital, career maturity, occupational preparation, occupational gap and family factors. This is the result of research on Study 1.On the basis of Study 1,Study 2 further explored the relationship between the two most important psychological factors(psychological capital and career maturity)extracted from the study and career decision-making difficulties.Combined with previous research, the second hypothesis of master students' career maturity plays a mediating role between psychological capital and career decision-making difficulties. The "College Students' Career Dec ision-Making Questionnaire","Active Psychological Capital Questionnaire" and "College Student Career Maturity Scale"were used as research tools.565 questionnaires were distributed to master students who met the research conditions, and 513 valid questionnaires were collected. The general situation of master's career decision-making difficulties is analyzed, and the hypothesis model is further verified, that is.the career maturity of master students plays a mediating role between psychological capital and career decision-making difficulties. The results of Study 2 are as follows:(1)The psychological capital of master students has a positive predictive effect on career maturity, and psychological capital and career maturity have a negative predictive effect on career decision-making difficulties.(2)The career maturity of master students plays a partial intermediary role between psychological capital and career decision-making difficulties. After a comprehensive discussion of the results of Study 1 and Study 2,the study draws the foLlowing general conclusions:The career decision-making difficulties of master students are the result of various factors such as psychological capital, career maturity, career preparation, occupational gap and family factors. The impact of psychological capital on career decision-making difficulties is partly achieved through the intermediary role of career maturity.Improving the level of psychological capital and career maturity and preparing for full employment are effective ways to reduce the difficulty of master's career decision-making.
