Political ethics is to research the ethical rules and moral spirit that should be followed by political subjects in different countries when they are in charge of state power or participating in state governance.It is the action benchmark and value core of various political acts of a country or a nation.As a classic of Chinese traditional culture,the Book of Songs not only has extremely important literary value,but also has a strong sense of political ethics.Therefore,the study of political ethics in the Book of Songs has important theoretical value and practical significance.In the introduction,this paper introduces the background,significance and current research status at home and abroad of this topic.Then,the internal logical structure of the text of The Book of Songs is carefully sorted out.According to its basic structure of "Folk-life and custom","Elegance of propriety" and "Ode to ancestors",the political and ethical thoughts of various parts are sorted out.In the first chapter,starting from the political beliefs of the working class,it summarizes the national spiritual characteristics and moral orientation of different countries in the "Folk-life and custom" part.In an era full of turmoil and change,officials rule the darkness,people are displaced and suffered from war.They are well aware that "fate depends on morality" and it is important to strengthen their own moral cultivation,but they are more eager for the principle of institutional ethics of justice and equality.Chapter 2 "Elegance of propriety" explains in detail the political and ethical character reflected in the banquet activities of the noble class.When the noble class is facing the ruling crisis,many etiquettes based on the patriarchal hierarchy as a political and ethical means can restrain people's behavior to the greatest extent,so as to achieve the good situation of the princes' self-restraint,the ministers' due diligence and the soldiers' bravery.Chapter three elaborates the political ethics thought of "Ode to ancestors".As an important form of national political life,sacrifice plays an extremely important political role in the Zhou Dynasty.Through reviewing the historical development of the Zhou nationality,it highlights its social governance concept of prudent punishment and moral education.At last,this paper summarizes the significance and value of the political ethics thought in the Book of Songs in the contemporary era.It emphasizes that drawing political wisdom from the successes and failures of the sages is not only conducive to promoting social development,but also contributes to the political construction of contemporary China.
