Li Zuoxian's Research On Epigraphy

Li Zuoxian is a famous epigrapher from Jiaqing to Guangxu.His achievements mainly involve ancient springs,stele inscriptions,seals,auspicious gold and so on.Among them,his achievements in ancient springs are the most remarkable.This paper mainly studies Li Zuoxian's achievements in epigraphy and explores his value and influence in epigraphy on the basis of Lijin County Chronicle and Li Zuoxian's works on epigraphy.Li Zouxian was born in the family of Shuxiang.Influenced by the family environment,Li Zouxian has profound attainments in poetry creation,painting appreciation and eight-part system,and has left many works.Li Zouxian lived in the flourishing period of epigraphy,and loved epigraphy from childhood,especially ancient spring.He made many friends when he grew up,which opened a convenient way for Li Zouxian to study epigraphy.Li Zuoxian has also made remarkable achievements in the study of epigraphy,especially in the study of ancient springs.Li Zuoxian collects many kinds and quantities of ancient springs.He distinguishes and interprets them,dating them and breaking the ground.Finally,these achievements are compiled into works such as Guquanhui and Xuquanhui.In addition,other categories of epigraphy,such as seals,auspicious gold,stele inscriptions,are also involved by Li Zuoxian,and some achievements have been made.In a word,Li Zuoxian has made brilliant achievements in epigraphy.By studying epigraphy,he has corrected many errors in historical records,made up for the shortcomings in many historical records,examined the changes of characters,and given a lot of insights into the appreciation of calligraphy to future generations.
