The Study Of Vocabulary In The Chinese Textbook "Introduction To Chinese" In The Late Qing Dynasty

Rudiments de Parler Chinois was written by Dai Suiliang,a missionary of the French Jesuits,during his mission in China.It is a set of Chinese textbooks with considerable research value.This thesis takes it as the research object.The full text is divided into three parts: The first part summarizes the reasons,research ideas,research status and research methods of Rudiments de Parler Chinois,and introduces the author and selection of Chinese Introduction.The second part mainly analyzes the vocabulary overview of Rudiments de Parler Chinois;the third part mainly discusses the recurrence rate of high-frequency vocabulary in it and its enlightenment on international Chinese vocabulary teaching.This paper will focus on vocabulary analysis,conduct synchronic and diachronic research on vocabulary,and explore the value of language research and the value of international Chinese teaching.In this paper,all the vocabulary in Rudiments de Parler Chinois is entered into the corpus,and all the vocabulary of it is counted.The high-frequency vocabulary and dialect vocabulary are explained to reveal the basic characteristics of the vocabulary of it.Through the study of the interval distribution of vocabulary recurrence rate,the textbook has a high recurrence rate and is distributed in different texts.Doing a recurrence in one or more texts helps students to improve their vocabulary learning and review.At the same time,using Python to compare the vocabulary in Rudiments de Parler Chinois with the vocabulary in the common vocabulary of modern Chinese and the 8000 high-frequency words in the Modern Chinese Frequency Dictionary,to explore the development and evolution of vocabulary and the vocabulary of it Modern value.By comparison,it is found that the lexical order of the two is roughly consistent,which shows that the difficulty arrangement of the vocabulary of Rudiments de Parler Chinois has certain scientific and regularity,which is conducive to students' vocabulary learning.Finally,the historical value and shortcomings of this textbook are analyzed,which can provide reference for the current international Chinese textbook compilation.
