In recent years,the research on the topic of textbooks of TCFL has achieved many accomplishments,but few papers are devoted to the topic of comprehensive textbooks.In these accomplishments of TCFL,there are plentiful papers with a focus on the topics of textbooks at a specific stage.However,few papers center on the whole stage.The comprehensive textbook has a profound impact on the learners and their Chinese learning.The topics in the comprehensive textbooks of three stages are listed and analyzed,and it has certain reference value for the improvement of the textbooks,the topics selection of other teaching materials and the supplementary teaching of teachers.This paper selects the text topic of Developing Chinese and Road to Success(comprehensive courses)as the research object.Based on the topic of texts,this paper compares and analyzes the number,compilation,distribution and form of topics from macro and micro perspectives by means of data statistics and comparative analysis.Combined with the feedback of the textbooks' users,this paper aims to put forward suggestions to promote the rational and effective use of textbooks,and promote the development of teaching activities smoothly.The paper is composed of three parts: introduction,body and conclusion,and the body is divided into four chapters.The preface puts forward the reasons for this paper,the research background,objects,purposes and research methods;clarifies the definition and classifications of "topics" in the academe,and then explains the definition and classifications of the "topic" in this paper.The first chapter expounds the basic information of the two sets of textbooks such as composition,location and layout,and then uses statistics to analyze the number of lessons and texts topics,and the constitution of topic domains and the distribution of topic groups in Developing Chinese and Road to Success(comprehensive courses).The second chapter compares these two sets of textbooks from the aspects of the composed ideas,targeted learners,topic selection and arrangement,layout,etc.;contrasts and analyzes the selection of topics,and the distribution characteristics of the topic domains and topic groups for exploring the selection situation and focuses of the textbook topics at different stages;compares the writing forms and sequence of the text topics at different stages.The third chapter conducts questionnaires and interviews with foreign students and teachers who have used or learned the selected two sets of textbooks in five universities in Chengdu,and analyzes the survey results.The learner questionnaire mainly investigates the topic interest of the learners and their evaluation on the selected textbooks;and the teacher questionnaire aims at getting to know whether the selected textbooks are easy to teach or not,and suggestions for improvement of teaching materials.The fourth chapter generalizes the learners' characteristics at different stages,and those of the stage teaching and learning,and then summarizes the selection and arrangement of the two sets of textbook topics in stages.Based on the research of this paper,the chapter proposes suggestions for improving the selection of textbook topics at different stages.The conclusion summarizes the research achievements and shortages of this paper.
