The primary comprehensive textbook of Chinese as a foreign language is the first contact with Chinese learners, and its theoretical research and practical exploration has always been the focus of attention in the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. In a comprehensive textbook, the text is the carrier of the language knowledge, text around which topics directly influence to the vocabulary, grammar, functions, cultural knowledge, and directly related to listening, speaking, reading and writing the skills training. Therefore, the preparation of the primary comprehensive textbook of Chinese as a foreign language can not be separated from the scientific configuration of the topic, and the classroom teaching of teachers can not avoid the careful design of the topic.This article take the topic of "development of the Chinese" elementary textbook as object of study, it is found that:in content, "development of the Chinese" elementary (Ⅰ) includes three categories, life is the subject, human and culture class less, "development of the Chinese" elementary (Ⅱ) relates to life, personal, cultural, philosophical, learning and emotion, the proportion of basic balance. In function, the two textbooks are covered by social, situation, attitude, emotion and command the five aspects of the expression, mainly in the case of expression, social and emotional less, attitude and command the least. In the presentation, conversation and narrative in the "development of Chinese" primary comprehensive (Ⅰ) is the basic equalization, but in the "development of Chinese" in the primary synthesis (Ⅱ), the focus of the narrative, the proportion of the two serious imbalance. In the order of arrangement, arrangement of big topic followed the urgent need to learning, showing a law, but the arrangement of small topic appeared irregular repetition.Through questionnaires and interviews for users of "development of the Chinese" elementary textbook, we found that:in the learning of students, professional factors of learners, learning objective, learning interest differences affect preferences on the topic is very obvious, and the influence of gender is relatively small. In the teaching, rich topic for teachers to provide great help, and the topic of the contents of the old, a single presentation, layout not reasonable of order affects the effect of classroom teaching; in the teaching difficulties, teachers generally believe that is the topic of philosophy; in teaching method, question and answer type of use is the highest, but pictures, videos are more likely to attract students attention.According to the "development of Chinese" primary comprehensive teaching materials actual situation and investigation, we believe that:in selection of topic, should choose the life of small hot topic; reduce the preaching, to enhance the fun; increase the cultural content; update content, response to contemporary society. In the arrangement, should be based on the conversational, supplemented by narrative; use combination and spiral type to arrange the topic sequence. In teaching, teachers should be based on students’ actual life, leads to the topic naturally; to create an active and lively communication environment; to explore various forms of activities to supplement textbooks.
