?Zuleikha opens her eyes ? is the long debut of the modern Russian female writer Guzel Yakhina. As the winner of the 2015 "Fiction of the Year","Big Book Award" and "Jasnaya Polyana" Literature Awards,Guzel Yakhina and her works have received much attention from scholars at home and abroad.?Zuleikha opens her eyes ? has made great achievements in both language attainments and artistic features, and has been recognized by the literary critics. The novel uses a large number of artistic methods such as free association and monologue to fully display the spiritual space of the heroin, excavating the deep consciousness of the heroin Zuleikha, and carrying out profound and delicate portrayal of the characters, which is a clear flow in "historical novels" and "female novel".This paper will use Sigmund Freud’s personality structure as the theoretical basis, through a careful study of the text of the novel, combined with the social and cultural background at that time,to analyze the image of Zuleikha. The structural model divides the personality into three parts: "Id","Ego" and "super-ego"."Id" is unconscious, consist of instinct, impulsiveness and desire,is the biological side of personality, follow the "happy principle"."Ego" is between the "Id" and the external world,is the psychological aspect of personality."Ego" follow the "reality principle"."Super-ego" is the social aspect of personality,is composed of morality, conscience and self-ideal."Id","Ego" and "super-ego" are not static, and the three parts are always in a conflict-coordinated movement. When the three parts are in a state of coordination, the personality is in a healthy state, and when the relationship between them is broken, psychological or mental illness will occur. The purpose of this paper is analyse of the image of Zuleikha from the perspective of Freud’s "personal structure theory".First of all, from the perspective of the theory of personality structure, analyze Zuleikha in different periods(before exile, during exile,in exiles)basing on the "Id","Ego" and "super-ego".Secondly,explore the motivation behind the image transformation of Zuleikha, and specifically compare the imagetransformation of Zuleikha before and after exile. After the analysis,we can clearly see that Guzel Yakhina successfully created the transformation of Zuleikha from the "wretch" under the "super-ego" framework to the "female hunter" with powerful "Ego".The reason for this is that the original "personal structure" of Zuleikha has undergone tremendous changes. The change of "superego" gives "ego" the opportunity to better regulate the contradictions of "the ego" and "superego".Thus demonstrates that the change of the character image is determined by the change of the character’s own personality structure. In order to achieve the purpose of research,we use literature research methods, text reading methods and systematic analysis methods to conduct academic research. |
