An Analysis Of Xu Beihong's Thoughts On The Improvement Of Chinese Paintings

XU beihong,as an important figure in the 20th century Chinese painting circle,especially as one of the representatives of the modern Chinese painting reform,the thought and works of the improvement of traditional Chinese painting have influenced the evolution and development of Chinese painting,especially freehand figure painting,in the past 100 years.During the period of Anti-Japanese War,XU beihong created a great number of works of realism,which expressed his tenacious fighting spirit and showed his strong patriotic feelings,such as "people of pumping","yu gong yi shan","tagore image" and so on.Among them,"yu gong yi shan",which he created in both two ways of traditional Chinese painting and oil painting,can be said to be XU beihong's great breakthrough in the improvement process of Chinese painting.He used a large number of Indian male models in the picture and painted their nude images boldly,in this way the masculine strong and power was been shown incisively and vividly.Based on this,the author selected "yu gong yi shan" to explore "introduces" and the "concept" of XU beihong how to carry out the "fusion of Chinese and western","yu gong yi shan" by XU beihong's traditional Chinese painting and oil painting "yu gong yi shan" the analysis and comparison,XU beihong further thinking in traditional Chinese painting improvement which is to study and draw lessons from western painting,which is on the inheritance and continuity of Chinese traditional painting,so as to further explore the traditional Chinese painting improvement of XU beihong thoughts as well as the impact on the development of the figure painting,and so on.The paper is divided into four parts:the first part briefly outlines the historical inevitability of the Chinese painting reform in the late qing dynasty and the early republic of China and the main schools of innovation;The second part reviews the theme and artistic value of XU beihong's work "yugong yishan".The third part studies the way and status of XU beihong's improvement of Chinese painting through the arrangement of the picture content and the analysis and comparison of the shape,composition and colors in"yugong yishan".In addition,it also makes a brief analysis of the differences of his aesthetic orientation.The fourth part expounds the development of XU beihong and Chinese modem figure painting and the influence of the improvement of traditional Chinese painting on the development of Chinese fine arts.
