The Rebellion of An Lushan and Shi Siming was the beginning of the large-scale southward migration of population in Tang Dynasty. The north is no longer the promised land of stability and the literati from the north began to come down to the south. The long life in the south influenced the poetry creation of these literati, the interaction with the southern literati also unconsciously influenced their literary thoughts and made their poetry shows the characteristics of southern style. The influence of southernization on the scholars was various. This paper tries to explore the influence of the changes of living areas on the poetry creation of scholars from the perspective of the southward movement of northern scholars caused by the Rebellion of An Lushan and Shi Siming, which is mainly divided into the following chapters:The first chapter analyzes the general situation of these literati. The southward movement of literati caused by the Rebellion of An Lushan and Shi Siming was a long and continuous process. Before the end of the An-Shi Rebellion,a large number of literati went south mainly to avoid the war.The choices to avoid war were autonomous, mainly divided into Bashu,Jingxiang,Jiangxi,Jiangnan four regions. There are several land and water ways of transportation to different southern regions.Because of the differences of soil, water and human environment, there are great differences between different regions. After the end of the An-Shi Rebellion, some literati chose to return to the north. But there are also some of them were unable to return to the north,so they had to stay in the south,or serve as officials.During this period, the number of literati who went south was not as large as that in the An-Shi Rebellion, but it was still unending, mainly because the political status of the south was improved and the government needed to employ capable literati to control the south. The second chapter analyzes the differentiation of cultural centers and the rise of southern cultural centers. Before the An-Shi Rebellion, the north was a place where culture and education flourished. As the political and cultural centers of the Tang Dynasty,Chang'an and Luoyang attracted literati from all over the country to travel and seek for official carear because of the large number of nobility and the prosperity of good literature. After the An-Shi Rebellion,a large number of literati went south, and the center of literary creation shifted. Many literati, especially the famous ones in the Dali period, stayed in the south for a long time.In addition, due to the gathering of literati and numerous cultural activities in the south, two large literary centers came into being, among which Jiangnan region could compete with the cultural center in Chang'an and Luoyang at that time for its cultural prosperity. The third chapter mainly analyzes the literati gathering of Jiangnan in Jiangnan cultural center. As a new cultural center,Jiangnan local officials of cultural activities particularly eye-catching.One of the biggest is the eastern and western Zhejiang literature collection activities.Because of its location in the south of Changjiang river,it absorbed the literary tour activities of Wang Xizhi,Xie Lingyun and others in those days, presenting different characteristics from the creation of feast and gathering in the capital. To be specific,it is a pleasure gathering among literati, inheriting the fashion of elegant collection of literature in those days. This kind of literary elegant collection activity had a great influence, and the current wave was very wide.At that time, many similar literary elegant collection activities arose in the south of Changjiang river, which was often admired by later generations of literati. The fourth chapter mainly studies the change of literati's creation and mentality under the influence of life in the south. At that time, the poetry creation of literati showed several main characteristics, which were the feeling of perplexity and sadness, the pursuit of seclusion and leisure, and the creation of beautiful words and sentences. This is related to the creative mentality of the literati living in the south at that time.Being in the south, far away from the political center, the poet's political ambition was worn away in the war.The tradition of seeking immortality in seclusion and the pleasure of dissolute mountains and rivers has also influenced the poet's poetic creation. The poet came up with the idea of "official seclusion",which is the pursuit of seclusion and leisure in his poetry. In addition, the mountains and rivers in the south are different from those in the north. The differences between the beautiful mountains and rivers in the south and the magnificent mountains in the north makes the poet pay more attention to the choice of clear and beautiful words when writing landscape poems, and even imitate Xie Lingyun and Xie Tiao in terms of style, forming a clear and beautiful style of writing.
