A Study On The Soul-calling Ceremony Of The Yi People In Lidi Village, Wenshan Prefecture, Yunnan Province

The ritual of soul wakening is a kind of regional ethnic cultural phenomenon in many nationalities of China.The Yi nationality of Yunnan Wenshan Funing county Lida town Lidi village has the ritual.The natives hold the ritual after people get sick and dead.The ritual is related to the soul belief,which expresses respects to souls and ancestors.As a form of soul belief,the ritual also affects the behaviors and concepts of the natives deeply.Therefore,this article tries to analyze the process and function of the ritual with an anthropological point of view,to reveal the meaning of the traditional culture in the modern scene.This paper bases on a lot of literatures,field trips and interviews,according to the the case and the video materials provided by the villagers,the content is divided into five parts,the "introduction","the background of the ritual existence","components of the ritual","types and process of the ritual","the function of the ritual".The introduction part mainly includes the research reasons,practical significance,research methods,relevant theories,innovation and shortage,and the relevant literature related to the soul wakening.The first chapter investigates the existence background of the ritual from two aspects of geographical environment and soul belief.The first part introduces the basic situation of the geographical location,ethnic composition,population,traffic conditions of Lidi village,the ideological and psychological characteristics of the local Yi people.The second part summarizes the specific content of the soul belief.The second chapter summarizes and analyzes the ritual components,and introduces the host,the object,participants,time,place,props.The third chapter introduces the ritual process of the sick and the dead,and analyzes the cultural symbolic meaning of the ritual,to concern people's attitude towards the ritual through interviews.The fourth chapter analyzes the social functions of the ritual,which will be analyzed from four aspects:psychological adjustment,inheritance of ethnic culture,strengthening of social relations and community operation.
