Shi Tuo,as a relatively active modern writer in the 1930s and 1940s,continued to insist on literary creation after 1949,but after making arduous efforts,he achieved very few results. In order to adapt to the historical situation of New China,he consciously transformed his thinking and creation, and what difficulties and crises he encountered in the process are our main concern. At a glance,we may also see some clues of the contemporary writers' thoughts and literature in the"turning era",and then understand the generation and structure of contemporary literary history. The first chapter mainly discusses Shi Tuo's social activities and ideological transformation in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China.Shi Tuo's triple political identity-writer in KMT-controlled and occupied area, landlord class origin and non-Party member made him embarrassed in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China. But subjectively,he is willing to accept the change from a professional writer to the identity of a literary and art worker in New China. In order to experience life and reform his thoughts,he actively participated in the rural land reform movement, but the actual grassroots work made him quite uncomfortable. The second chapter mainly analyzes the creation of Shi Tuo in the early 1950s.In the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China,Shi Tuo actively went to the countryside to "dive into life" to collect materials for his creations. However, the disconnection between creation and experience made his creation face a crisis at this time. Not only did he have a small number of works, but he also received less praised works. As a last resort,Shi Tuo invoked his past writing experience and tried harder from the perspective of writing skills to try to make up for the barrier to real experience. The third chapter mainly analyzes the creation of Shi Tuo in the middle and late 1950s.After a long period of land reform,Shi Tuo's creation is still difficult. As a strategy to break through,he began to try more themes and genres, write scripts, write poems, and write travel essays. No matter how hard he tried,Shi Tuo was always dissatis fied with his creative situation. The fourth chapter tries to analyze the reason why Shi Tuo is stuck in a creative crisis after the founding of the People's Republic of China. In terms of thinking,in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China,Shi Tuo detached attitude towards revolution shows that he is more sympathetic to the revolution than morally, and his deep-rooted enlightenment complex has always involved and resisted the true identity of revolutionary discourse. In literature, the new set of literary norms gradually established after the founding of New China have always been misaligned with Shi Tuo's existing creative experience, making his creation difficult.Shi Tuo,as a new writer who came from the old era,or an old writer who worked hard in the new era,his thought and creative transformation around 1949 and its predicament deserve our deep consideration.
