Tibetan is an ethnic group with distinctive image features,their original ecological life state,and the spirit of perseverance,aroused the creation of generations of Chinese painters enthusiasm.Since the 1950s,a number of artists to the Tibetan region to sketch,a large number of outstanding works.This paper combines his own experience and practice of painting from life in Tibetan areas,but also to their own in the Tibetan theme of Freehand figure painting process comb and summary.In the process of sketching,the unique geographical environment of the Tibetan plateau,the simple image of the Tibetan people and the life-rich pastoral life have deeply influenced me,hope to show such a brave and simple,warm and vigorous ethnic image through their own brush.Back at the studio,in the course of my creative practice,I learned a lot from the excellent works of my predecessors,especially the valuable experience in shaping the image of the Tibetan,combined with the harvest and understanding of sketching from life,gradually explore the appropriate expression of the language and form.With the changes of the times,the living standard of the Tibetan compatriots has also been improved.In the process of going to the countryside many times,I have felt the changes of the Tibetan people’s life in every aspect.How to portray the image with the features of the times and the ethnic connotation is also an important subject that I need to study and explore seriously.This paper is divided into four chapters based on its own process from sketch to creation.The first chapter elaborates the gains and feelings of the investigation from life-drawing,and explains the original intention of the creation.The second chapter makes an in-depth analysis of the image-building of the Tibetan from the perspectives of geographical environment,ethnic dress,ethnic image characteristics and folk culture,the third chapter is the elaboration of the creation process,from the whole conception,the image portray,the color and the line utilization and so on many aspects,the concrete elaboration creation process;The Fourth Chapter is the reflection creation question and the insufficiency.
