Li Dazhao's Traditional Cultural View And Its Contemporary Value Research

Li Dazhao was the earliest Marxist and a pioneer of the Communist movement in China,at the same time,he spent his youth in the feudal society of the late Qing Dynasty and grew up under the influence of traditional culture with Confucianism as the core.Therefore,it will inevitably collide with and merge with traditional culture in its ideological development.Regarding how to deal with the relationship with traditional culture,Li Dazhao put forward his own unique views and understandings based on the national conditions at the time,and formed his unique view of traditional culture.The formation of Li Dazhao's traditional cultural outlook is inseparable from the objective con ditions of the society at the time,and is also closely related to Li Dazhao's subjective personal qualities.Among them,the influence of the time background and social reality,traditional Chinese culture,and western democratic thought provided the possibility for the formation of Li Dazhao's traditional cultural outlook;while Li Dazhao's profound Chinese academic foundation,solid Marxist theoretical foundation,and dialectical historical thinking methods,etc..Qualities make this possibility a reality.Under these conditions,Li Dazhao's traditional cultural outlook gradually formed and matured.The formation and development of Li Dazhao's traditional cultural outlook can be roughly divided into three historical periods.In the first stage,the period of receiving orthodox Confucian studying was the stage of Li Dazhao's respect for traditional culture;in the second stage,the period of democrats was the stage of Li Dazhao's critique of traditional culture;in the third stage,the period of Marxists was the stage of Li Dazhao's rational view of traditional culture.The content of Li Dazhao's traditional cultural view is mainly reflected in the understanding of three issues: traditional culture itself,the relationship between traditional culture and western culture,and the relationship between traditional culture and Marxism.Li Dazhao believes that in treating traditional culture,we should adhere to the scientific attitude of critical inheritance,handle the relationship between traditional culture and Marxism with a harmonious standpoint,and use Marxism to transform the traditional culture in both material and spiritual ways.Li Dazhao's traditional cultural outlook has important theoretical value and practical significance.From a historical perspective,its value is concentrated in the historical process that promotes the Sinicization of Marxism;it promotes the benign transformation of traditional culture.From the perspective of reality,its contemporary value is mainly manifested in providing theoretical support and path guidance for the promotion of Chinese excellent traditional culture.
