As a Chinese traditional national instrument,In more than 2000 years of development of Chinese zither,the musical culture in each region and the genre style features formed for a long time,both of which have deep cultural deposits.It has important significance to inherit and carry forward traditional culture and understand the features of local music in China by learning traditional repertoires of Chinese zither.This paper reflects the questions of traditional Chinese zither repertoire teaching in childhood and it tries to find out the reasons why the students in children's stage are less interested in the traditional Chinese zither repertoires and why they play it inaccurately,which by analyzing the data of a sample survey of Nanjing and its surrounding areas to collect front-line teachers who teach 5 to 12-year-old amateur children students.And it will combines the four major music teaching methods to provide new teaching ideas for teachers,changing the teaching situation from the two aspects of students and parents.Through the support of the actual teaching data,the communication with teachers and the feedback of students and their parents to explore the significance and thinking of teaching traditional repertoires in children's Chinese zither teaching.
