From The Zither Songs "Iron Horse" And "Year", I Explored Zhao Shan's Creation And Performance Style

Mr.Zhao Dengshan,as the main representative of Shandong genre of zither,has a connecting role on the development of Shandong genre of zither: He not only inherited the local style of Shandong zither genre,but also created a large number of works of zither on this basis.In addition,he carried on innovations constantly and made a great contribution to the development of zither.In the first session of the National zither academic exchange,Mr.Zhao published two music pieces named "Iron Horse Sing" and "Old"."Iron Horse Sing" follows the traditional zither skills and performs the “rhyme” of zither to the extreme.While "Old" is pioneering and innovative,it is a milestone of cross time.These two pieces of work represent two different styles and show outstanding creation and playing skills of Zhao.This article will take this as the starting point,and analyze and compare the two most representative works to inquire into the creation and performing style of Zhao.Zhao extracts value from the tradition,but also creative.He also make contribution to the development of zither.
