Research On The Problems Existing In The Translation Of Gannan House Cards From Chinese To Tibetan

Translation is not only a way of communication among different peoples,but also a understanding among different cultures and languages.Since people are from different languages and nationalities and they contact with each other,translation has become a bridge of communication.It transfers information and gives feedback.It is also an indispensable channel in the cultural exchange of all nationalities in the world.Translation is of great significance to strengthen cultural exchanges,absorb excellent civilization achievements of different countries and promote the construction of spiritual civilization.“Store names are the eyes and soul of a city”.It not only has the function of determining and recognizing the orientation,but also mirrors a city's image.Cities are the condensation and accumulation of culture,as well as the container,carrier and stage.In today's society,the irregularity of Chinese-to-Tibetan translation is taking place frequently,which mainly includes wrong words,non-standard writings and so on.This violates the laws and regulations of the ethnic Language,and does not conformto the laws of developing and using the language in minority area.In the end,it triggers the disorder of using language,especially in the area of Gannan Tibetan area in the aspect of culture and education.Therefore,it is urgent to unify and standardize the Tibetan language of store names in the Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in accordance with the policies on the Laws and Regulations,the Law of Regional Ethinc Autonomy,and the Implementing Rules and Regulations of the Gansu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture.In this article,the writer conducted a field survey on the application of the language in the Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture to understand the current status of store names' translation in various cities,and collected real and reliable first-hand information.On the basis of it,the writer analyzed the importance of the Chinese-to-Tibetan translation of store names,The writer also presented the problems and solutions as well as proposed the relative rectification measures.The first chapter summarizes the definition and function of the translation of store names and the meaning of Chinese-to-Tibetan translation of store names.The second chapter mainly introduces the geographical overview ofGannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture and the use of language.The writer analyzed the causes of errors in the translation of store names through several examples,and put forward relative strategies to prevent similar errors occurred.The third chapter briefly describes the process and principles of translating store names and the translation standards.He also discussed some translation methods commonly used in such kind of translation.The fourth chapter mainly elaborates the matters needing attention during the translation of store names from Chinese-to-Tibetan and specific measures for improvement,which further standardizes the management of the use of language and strengthens the construction of the translation team,The writer emphasizes the translation concept,sense of responsibility and capability the translators should possess.
