| At the end of 2017,Shadiao which is an Internet subculture became popular on several mean stream network platform like Weibo,Douyin and Zhihu.The word"Shadiao" is a homophone for "stupid" or "stupid guy",it could be both noun and adjective.The shadiao culture transmit via memes,short videos,text and funny pictures.From the aesthetic perspective,it inherits the techniques of Wulitou which used in the films directed by Stephen Chow in the early 2000.However,compare Hongkong in the 1990s’ with recently China mainland,the society background changed a lot.The Internet is more closed to people’s daily life.People currently not only could enjoy a kind of culture but also could participate in creating this culture.When the phrases became well-known online they would be used as pet phrases in the daily life.This thesis based on the Weibo content which included the keyword "Shadiao" in 2018 as the study materials,is a comparative study between Stephen Chou’s film and Shadiao.To summarize features of Wulitou evolution based on the research on the new depicted objects and the new techniques which appeared and employed in the Shadiao sub-culture is the research purpose. |
