From "That's Me" To "Thinking Of Love"

Piano has appeared in China as an imported musical instrument for hundreds of years.The earliest piano adaptation in China was �The Fancy Ba Ban and the Waves of Xiang Jiang� adapted by Zhao Yuanren based on traditional Chinese folk songs and Jiangnan folk sizhu music in 1913,two years earlier than the earliest piano creation work�March of Peace� with verifiable score in China.It can be seen from this that piano adaptations have been very popular since they were introduced into China.From the beginning of the last century to today,there have been countless excellent piano adaptation works in the historical process of the development of Chinese piano art.These works are rich in types and are adapted from traditional Chinese folk songs and minor tunes,Chinese folk instrumental music,Chinese and foreign art songs,Chinese and foreign operas,foreign songs and other genres,and are loved by performers and listeners.Taking the piano adaptation song �Si lian� as an example,this paper made a comprehensive analysis of the music characteristics,adaptation techniques and performance skills of �Si lian� from the perspective of �Si lian� re-creating the artistic song �That's me�.This paper was divided into three parts: First,it studied and analyzed the creation source and editing background of the work �Si lian�.Then,the musical features of the artistic song �That's me� and the piano work �Si lian� were deeply interpreted,and the adaptation techniques in the process of re-creation were emphatically explained from the aspects of melody,range,sound type and texture.Finally,by combining the above analysis results and author's own performance practice experience,this paper combed and discussed the performance enlightenment of the artistic song�That's me� to the piano adaptation song �Si lian�.From the understanding of lyrics,the enlightenment of singing,the treatment of voice level and the difference from piano accompaniment,this paper put forward performance suggestions to provide diversified appreciation space for music lovers who liked this work.
