Abstract/Summary:
Older orphans are 16-19 years old, orphans or fact orphans with the ability to enter society.Compared with younger orphans, they are under pressure for academic choice.Due to the unclear positioning of theirself, there is no strong social support network, the individual lacks experience, and has no ability to assume responsibility and risk. When graduating and making academic choices, they will face greater pressure. If it can not be solved well,it will affect the long-term life of elder orphans in physical and psychological.Resilience is the ability of an individual to rebound after encountering frustration or stress.Higher resistance can help individuals cope with frustration and solve problems. It is the result of the combined action of the individual’s internal protection factors and external protection factors.Older orphans, whether internal or external, need to strengthen protective factors that actively respond to stress. Therefore, the thesis aims to focus on the stress problem of elder orphans, study the intervention of the work of the group from the perspective of stress resistance, and explore the methods that social work can intervene when older orphans cope with stress problems, improve their ability to resist stress, and broaden the social work.Practice.Based on the theory of resilience, using questionnaire survey, participatory observation method and action research method, the analysis found that the current age of orphans is facing pressure of academic choice, which has affected their physical and mental health. The reason is that there is a large risk factor, which is manifested in the internal I am level and lack of self-awareness;the I can level, lack of problem-solving ability and low sense of effectiveness;external I have level, the family support network is missing, and the school support network is weak.Aiming at the analysis of the pressure problems and causes of elder orphans, the path of group work intervention under the theory of resilience was proposed, and the protection factors were raised from the internal I am,I can and external I have levels to mitigate the impact of risk factors and solve the pressure.problem.Specific interventions include self-awareness at the internal I am level and strengthening internal construction;internal I can level tocultivate problem-solving skills and enhance the sense of efficacy;external I have level to establish support networks for schools and peer groups. The evaluation of the group’s activities found that the internal and external protection factors of the group members have been enhanced, and solutions can be proposed for the pressure problems faced. At the same time, some problems were found and reflected. At the level of resilience training: the construction of school support networks requires the participation of all subjects;the cultivation of resilience is a long-term process;the cultivation of resilience requires attention to gender differences.Reflection on the application level of group work: While focusing on the design of activities,it is necessary to reasonably use the power of the group;adopt a variety of work methods and carry out case work on the basis of group work.Under the theory of resilience, group work involved in the pressure of older orphans is effective to relieve stress and improve stress resistance.Practitioners can use this intervention path to develop social work services to promote the healthy growth of older orphans.
