The stress is a one of the study hotspots in the contemporary society. The study of work stress could help well people deal with their work stress incidents, and glade to do work.The study tries to research the situation of the work stress of the computer technicians coming from the Guangdong Province Local Tax Bureau through the principles of psychometrics like interviewing, questionnaire investigation, and statistical analysis, etc. In data analysis, some traditional statistical methods were used, e.g. the exploring factors analysis, the one-way analysis of variance, and the correlation analysis, etc.This study covers two parts. Firstly, the study worked out a questionnaire of work stress of the computer technicians in the Guangdong Local Tax Bureau. And then the structure of the questionnaire has been analyzed by the principles and techniques of psychometrics and statistics, such as credibility verification and efficiency verification. The result showed that the resources of work stress of the computer technicians from the Guangdong Province Local Tax Bureau are mainly concentrated on six fields: the super-sub relationship, the colleague's relationship, the career prospect, the work overload, the organization management, and occupational characteristic. Secondly, we discussed the variety of the work stress resources of the computer technicians who were so different from each other on age, gender, knowledge background, administration regions, working-year experience, and titles. The result shows that there is a significant variety for the computer technicians' work stress resources in different administration regions. Finally, we suggest carrying out the service of employee assistance plan (EAP) in the Guangdong Province Local Tax Bureau.
