A Study On The Countermeasures For Thai Students To Acquire English Loan Words In Chinese

As an open system,language is the most sensitive and rapid response to social development.The communication between different countries promotes the development of the society,and inevitably promotes the development of the language.In the foreign communication of a country,it is inevitable to borrow the language.Vocabulary borrowing is an important aspect of language borrowing.In the historical development of China and Thailand,with the development of foreign exchanges between the two countries,a large number of English borrowed words,namely English loanwords,appeared in the languages of the two countries.Although both Chinese and Thai borrowed words from English,English loanwords have different characteristics in the two languages due to the characteristics of their respective languages and different ways of borrowing.English loanwords have different phonetic and pragmatic characteristics in the two languages,which has a certain impact on the acquisition of Chinese loanwords by Thai students.To clear the process of Thai students to acquire English loanwords in Chinese as well as the problem,in this paper,on the basis of literature investigation and questionnaire survey,through borrowing reasons of English loanwords in Chinese and Thai,borrowing methods such as contrast,launched the Thai students Chinese study English loanwords acquisition,thus summing up the problem,puts forward Suggestions about English loanwords in Chinese teaching.The main contents of the paper are as follows:The first chapter: introduction,mainly introduces the research background,research significance,main theoretical basis and research methods.The second chapter: literature review,respectively introduces the research on English loanwords in Chinese and Thai,which serves as the research foundation of this paper.Chapter three: a comparative study of English loanwords in Chinese and Thai languages.Through a specific comparative analysis of the reasons,ways and effects of borrowing in the two countries,the author summarizes the different characteristics of English loanwords in the two languages.Chapter four: a survey and analysis on English loanwords acquisition of Thai students.This paper analyzes the process and problems of Thai students' acquisition of English loanwords in Chinese through questionnaire survey.Chapter five: strategies for Thai students to acquire Chinese and English loanwords.Chapter six: conclusion,summary of the full text,find out the shortcomings.
