This thesis takes the modal particle "a"(?)in modern Chinese as the study object.Firstly,it summarizes the previous studies with literature analysis and concludes that "a"(?)has the functions of lyricism,it can also ease the tone, highlight the information and emphasize the focus.Secondly, the comparative analysis method is used to compare the Chinese modal particles "a"(?)with those related to "a"(?)in Thai, and to find out the similarities and differences between Chinese and Thai modal particles. This study synthesizes the natural corpus and the induced corpus in the context of nearly 500,000 corpuses, and uses the error analysis method to analyze the use of "a"(?)by Thai students. It is found that there are errors in the use of the modal word "a"(?)by Thai students, such as adding, misuse and wrong order.Among them, the misuse between "a"(?)and "ba"(?),"a"(?)and "ne"(?),"a"(?)and "le"(?)are the main errors in the acquisition of modal particle "a"(?)by Thai students. In addition,in order to study the acquisition order of various meanings of "a"(?)by Thai students,we also conducted a contextual survey of picture-talking,as well as a multiple-choice test for Thai students. At the same time,we also counted 20 million modern Chinese corpus, comparing the use of "a"(?)by Thai students in inter-language corpus with native Chinese speakers, with the natural corpus as the main part and the induced corpus as the supplement, the order of the usage of the "a"(?)learned by Thai students at the elementary, intermediate and advanced stages are obtained. We find that the order of Thai students' acquisition of Chinese modal particle "a"(?)is: At the end of a exclamation sentence > after calling > after response > at the end of a declarative sentence indicates emphasis or explanation > at the end of a specific interrogation > at the end of a imperative sentence > at the end of a positive and negative question/an alternative question > after the enumeration element > at the end of the hypothesis or concession clause > at the end of the rhetorical question > after the parenthesis > used between repetitive verbs > after the topic(the subject)> at the end of a yes-no question. Finally,we compare the acquisition order of our study with the order of the usage of the various meanings of "a"(?)in the full set of comprehensive textbooks "Developing Chinese"(2nd edition),and according to the types of errors and the causes of errors,we put forward some suggestions on the compilation of textbooks teachers' teaching and students' learning. It is hoped that the conclusion can provide some help for the study of the Chinese modal particle "a"(?)of the Thai students, and at the same time,it can provide some reference for the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language teachers, help to improve the teaching efficiency and achieve better teaching results.
